Equipment List
Following is the equipment list you require for this trek:
- Light or mid-weight Polypro, Capalene, or 100 wt. Polartech, stretch fabric is best- top and bottom for layering. This is thermal top & bottom.
- Exp weight Polypro, Capalene – top. This is your next layer of thermal wear.
- Pile or fleece coat- 200 weight Wind Stopper 200 weight is best! Or a ski jacket.
- Long light weight trekking trousers or track pants.
- Long sleeved Tee shirt
- Gortex jacket, or rain coat/poncho
- 1 pair heavy wool or Polypro socks, lighter socks for travel etc.
- Gaiters
- 1 pair ski gloves/mits
- Balaclava or thick ski hat with optional neck gaiter
- Baseball cap or similar sun hat
- Good pair sun glasses
- Hiking shoes (broken in!) and light sandals for traveling in. (optional)
- Sleeping bag rated to -5 degrees CELCIUS
- Lge Duffell bag or Pack 60-70 ltrs
- Daypack 30-25 ltrs
- 2 trekking poles (adjustable preferred, highly recommend)
- Camel pack (3 litre)
- Good headlamp with extra batteries and bulb.
- Personal medical kit (we'll have a larger group med kit), Band-Aids, Blister pack
- Aspirin. neurofen No sleeping pills!
- Sunscreen (25 or better) Lip Balm
- 1 tee shirt, 1 pair lightweight shorts,
- Personal: Camera/film, toothbrush/paste, toilet paper, soap, small towel.
- Dry clean set of clothes for the evening at the Lodge
