    PORT MORESBY WEEKENDER – DOE VILLAGE

    Escape the city for the weekend.

    Join us on one of our walks into Doe Village or we can organize this for you.

    This is a leisurely 3 hour walk in on Saturday, and out again on Sunday.

    There is the beautiful Musgrave River to swim in on arrival and for the more adventurous the “Bat Caves” to climb up and explore.

    This could be your first step to exploring this beautiful “Land of the Unexpected”

    Trip Highlights

    • You will be stunned at how amazingly beautiful this trek is and its just a stones throw away from Port Moresby. You are walking parallel to the Owen Stanley Ranges and the famous Kokoda Track
    • On arrival swim in the pristine waters of the Musgrave River
    • Trek up to the “Bat Caves” Full of fruit bats, stalagmites and stalactites. A truly different experience
    • Take this opportunity to see village life.
    • Speak to the villagers about the village WW11 History and enjoy the village singing on the Saturday evening.
