SKINDIWAI/BLACK CAT TRACK
Extreme Trekking
PNG Trekking Adventures has opened up this track for trekkers, which has not been trekked on a commercial basis since WW11
This track is raw and in places dangerous it is not for the inexperienced trekker and care must be taken at all times.
The villages along the track are extremely isolated and very poor. The only contact with westerners they have is with our trekkers. This is such a privilege for us and a most humbling experience. Even those these villagers have very little they will vacate their village house so that we may have a roof over our heads.
There is as much WW11 history in this area as along the Kokoda Track.
It is breathtakingly beautiful walking through pristine rain forests and with glorious views on the last two days. The numbers along this track are small compared to Kokoda which means it is very untouched.
If you want to step out of the square and have and adventure of a life time this is the trek for you.
